Dr. Kiran Ganatra
Dr. Kiran Ganatra BDS (University Of Sheffield), LDS, RCS (England) qualified as a dentist in December 1983.He spent six years in general dental practice in Sheffield where he also held the post of visiting practioner at The Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in the minor surgery department.
Between 1990 and 2001, Dr.Ganatra was a principal partner in dental practices in both Nottingham and Derby.
He has worked at The Oakwood Dental Centre in Derby since 1990 where he currently undertakes all aspects of general dental practice.
Dr.Sandy Lakhanpaul BDS (University Of Manchester) graduated in dentistry from the University of Manchester in 1989 where he worked for a short time in general dental practice.He was subsequently appointed as a senior house officer in Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery in Lincolnshire for 2 years following which he worked in a large group practice in Nottinghamshire before taking up his current position at the Oakwood Dental Centre in 2005.
Dr.Lakhanpaul is a founding board member of the Nottingham Emergency Dental Services (NEDS) and was recently appointed a member of the external review panel with the Department Of Health.
Dr.Tony Taunk BDS (University Of Newcastle) graduated in 2002 when he joined the Oakwood Dental Centre to undertake his postgraduate training (2002-03). Following completion of his dental training, he remained at Oakwood Dental Centre as assosciate dentist and currently undertakes all aspects of general dental practice alongside some aspects of cosmetic dentistry.
He has a keen interest in the field of cosmetic dentistry and is building on this interest in his current post at the practice.
He has worked in conjunction with national hairdressing chain, Saks Hairderessing, in his capacity to provide cosmetic dental services from their hair salons.
He undertakes and provides dental services to Derby County Football Team and Derby County Cricket Team, attending matches in his capacity as dentist to the players.

Dr. Louise Thompson (Dr.Louise Hawley)
Dr. Louise Thompson (Hawley) BDS graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2000 when she joined the Dove dental practice in Derby to undertake her postgraduate training. She remained at Dove dental from 2000-2008 where she worked as an associate dentist in Derby before joining the Cosmetic White Smiles team at The Oakwood Dental Centre in March 2008.
Louise has extensive experience in general dentistry, her particular interests being the treatment of nervous and phobic patients with techniques ranging from personal coping skills to intravenous sedation.
She is currently a member of The Society For The Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry and has undertaken extensive advanced training in dental sedation techniques.
In order to provide her patients with high standards of dental care and a wide range of dental services, Louise is fully committed to ongoing professional development. This is evidenced by her enrolment and completion of many advanced dental courses over the years covering all aspects of cosmetic dentistry, multiple management of the nervous dental patient, endodontics and crown and bridge restorative work resulting in a commitment to quality dental care. In addition, she is currently undertaking the One to One Course in Dental Implants and Implantology at Sheffield University
