Following in the footsteps of her lookalike Cheryl Cole, X-Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos of N-Dubz fame opted for cosmetic dentistry to transform her image and smile. Tulisa’s new smile reportedly set her back £12,000 and was revealed prior to the new series of the show at a press launch held at London’s O2 Arena.
Simon Cowell, whose name is now synonymous with gleaming white teeth, may well have had some influence over Tulisa’s new look. Cowell, who is clearly a fan of cosmetic dentistry, has reportedly encouraged X-Factor finalists to have their teeth done in the past.However, we suspect Tulisa isn’t the type of girl who will do anything she doesn’t want to do and it’s likely that she didn’t need much persuasion to undertake her new smile makeover.Whilst before her smile makeover, Tulisa did not have bad teeth, they weren’t completely straight or perfect. Her dental treatment is believed to have included teeth whitening and dental veneers and Tulisa understandably wanted to look her best before appearing on the world famous X-Factor.
The 25 year old N-Dubz singer who is happy to admit she would consider cosmetic surgery if she ever felt she needed it, has been compared to her predecessor Cheryl Cole on a number of occasions. Before appearing on The X-Factor, Cheryl also underwent cosmetic dentistry treatment worth £9,500. Her treatment included between six and eight veneers and an invisible brace. Cheryl reportedly spends £8,000 a year on her teeth, in addition to £1,500 on teeth whitening treatments.
