Paying for Orthodontics

NHS orthodontic treatment is not available for adults and is only available to children under the age of 18 years if they qualify based on a clinical need for the treatment.

Should you wish your child to be considered for NHS treatment , we can refer to a practice with an NHS orthodontics contract where they will be assessed under the guideline criteria. If your child qualifies, he/she can be added to the waiting list for orthodontic treatment on the NHS. If your child does not qualify for NHS orthodontic treatment, you still have the option of undertaking orthodontic treatment and paying for it should you choose to do so.
